July Update
Posted on July 28th, 2010 No comments
This month’s new products: we now have Traidcraft Oaty flapjacks in stock – £1.65 for a pack of 5.Back in stock are Milk Chocolate Peanuts – 200g for £2.

If you’re visiting the Llangollen Eisteddfod next week do pop in to visit us – we’re usually sited next to the Soroptomists where you can have a sit-down & a cuppa.
We’ll also have a stall at the Betws-y-Coed Celtic Summer Fayre from 17 – 21 July. It’s the first time this event has been held so please support it if you’re in the area.Just Trading, Scotland, is challenging churches & communities to sell 90 x 1k bags of rice from Malawi because this is how much a Malawian farmer has to sell to send 1 child to school for a year. Could this be a Harvest project for your church or school? Let me know if you’re interested or have a look at the website: www.justtradingscotland.co.uk – harvest liturgy, posters, an information pack & power point presentation also available.
Thanks to everyone who sponsored John and me to take the Snowdon Challenge on 6 June. We’ve now raised an amazing £1406 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Kind regards
Lis

June Update
Posted on June 1st, 2009 No commentsThis month’s deliveries to St Asaph will be on 11th & 25th June – 5pm in the Cathedral car park. Please let me know in good time if you want to exchange goods on either date (especially on 11th as it’s a busy week).
I’ll also be in St Asaph on Sunday, 21 June from around 12 noon running a FT stall in the Cathedral at the Diocesan Conference. I’ll have some room in the car for other goods if this is a more convenient date & time for anyone.

This month’s new goods are jars of Palestinian black & green olives at £4 & £3 respectively. If you think they’ll sell on your stall please let me know & I’ll include some with your next order. This month’s special offer: Traidcraft Spaghetti – down from £1 to only 80p per 500g pack.
Hope you’re all enjoying this spell of fine weather. John & I are walking up Snowdon next Sunday in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care so are hoping it’s not too hot for us (& hoping the café on top is now open)!

May Update
Posted on April 30th, 2009 No commentsThis month’s deliveries to St Asaph will be on 14th & 28th May – 5pm in the Cathedral car park as usual.
Christian Aid Week runs from 10 – 16 May. See the website for bilingual church and school resources or contact Anna Jane at the North Wales office: 01248 353574 or aevans@christian-aid.orgAlso, we may still just be recovering from Fairtrade Fortnight but World Fairtrade Day is on 9 May. For more info go to www.worldfairtradeday09.org

I was asked to stock this brand of cornflakes because they’re organic, low in fat, vegan and gluten free. Unfortunately, they don’t carry the Fair Trade Mark but are produced by the Whole Earth company and are proving to be a very popular line at £1.99 a box. Let me know if you’d like me to include a box in your next order.
Fair Trade rubber gloves have now come back into stock at £1.10 a pair. Look out for them in your boxes over the coming weeks.
Contact me if you fancy helping to run the Fairtrade stall at the next Llangollen Eisteddfod for a morning or an afternoon. It runs from 7 – 11 July. Any help gratefully received.
The shop will be closed on both Bank Holiday Mondays in May – 4th & 25th. Fingers crossed for some fine weather!
